Loving the new food “pyramid”

Finally, something child-friendly! This is a million times better than even this kid version of the “new” food pyramid of a few years back. We printed out a black-and-white version of the MyPlate and colored it in together this morning. I think I want to find pictures of fruits, veggies, beans, (gluten-free) grains, etc from magazines and make a collage version. Then I’ll post it on the fridge as a reference for my non-reader children. Hopefully this will help me teach why they can’t eat five servings of yogurt each day.
